Georgetown, Guyana – Natsar, a leader in cybersecurity strategy development and advisory services, has been asked to play a key role in the development of the Cyber Resilience Strategy 2030 for the Caribbean region. This initiative, spearheaded by the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), aims to strengthen cyber defenses across the Caribbean nations.

The Cyber Resilience Strategy 2030, approved by CARICOM’s Council for Trade and Economic Development in 2019, represents a significant commitment to safeguarding the Caribbean’s digital infrastructure against escalating global cyber threats. Natsar’s involvement underscores the company’s expertise and trusted reputation in the cybersecurity field.

Natsar’s Role in Enhancing Regional Cybersecurity in the Caribbean Region

Partnering with the exceptional professionals at Cambridge Global Advisors (CGA) and other key stakeholders, Natsar’s Principal, Josh Moulin, is helping to formulate a robust strategy that addresses the unique cybersecurity needs and challenges faced by the Caribbean states. This work will include conducting comprehensive assessments to identify cyber vulnerabilities and gaps within the region, collaborating in multi-sector consultations to gather insights and inform strategic recommendations, assisting in the development of a cohesive framework that enhances information sharing, incident reporting, and collaborative cyber defense mechanisms, and developing legal and regulatory frameworks.

Natsar, along with CGA and USAID, spent a week in Guyana, South America, to meet with key stakeholders and kickstart this project. During the time in Guyana, individuals met with representatives from the country of Guyana, cybersecurity personnel from some of the 15 member countries of the CARICOM region, and conducted meetings at the U.S. Embassy including with Ambassador Nicole D. Theriot.
