Majuro, Marshall Islands – Natsar’s Principal, Josh Moulin, recently led an impactful two-day workshop for senior government, nonprofit, and civil society leaders across the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and conducted in partnership with Cambridge Global Advisors (CGA), the workshop aimed to fortify the cybersecurity capabilities and resilience of the region.

The comprehensive training program was designed to equip leaders with essential knowledge, skills, and strategies to navigate the complex cybersecurity threat environment. The sessions focused on fostering a robust cybersecurity culture, managing technical challenges, and building resilient teams adept at anticipating, responding to, and recovering from cyber incidents.

The workshop was structured into four key sessions:

1. The Evolving Threat Landscape – Understanding the breadth and depth of current cybersecurity threats and the pivotal role of leadership in shaping a security-focused organizational culture.

2. Building a Cybersecurity Culture – Embedding cybersecurity awareness at every organizational level through effective policies, training, and communication, ensuring strong executive buy-in and leadership commitment.

3. Leadership in Cybersecurity – Enhancing strategic planning, risk management, and decision-making in cybersecurity investments while preparing for potential cyberattack scenarios.

4. Building a Cyber-Resilient Organization – Securing critical infrastructure, managing vulnerabilities, and adhering to data security and privacy compliance, along with creating robust incident response plans and communication protocols to ensure business continuity.
